Course Description:

This bundle is designed to upgrade an individual’s training from an SST40 card to an SST62 card, which is required for supervisors and competent persons on New York City jobsites. The course aligns with the requirements outlined in Chapter 33 of the NYC Building Code, covering essential safety and compliance training for construction supervisors.

Course Content:

The 22-Hour SST Supervisor Bundle is composed of the following modules:

​​

• 8-Hour Fall Prevention: Focuses on recognizing and mitigating fall hazards, which are among the most common and deadly risks in construction.

• 8-Hour Chapter 33 (Site Safety Manager) Refresher: Offers an in-depth understanding of the requirements under NYC Building Code Chapter 33, which governs safety during construction operations.

• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User: Training on how to safely use, inspect, and maintain supported scaffold systems.

• 2-Hour Toolbox Talks: Teaches the importance of daily or weekly safety meetings and how to effectively deliver them to the crew.

Course Requirements
 

1. 40-Hour SST Worker Card: Applicants must already possess a 40-hour SST Worker card to enroll in this upgrade course to receive the SST62.
    

2. NYC DOB Requirements: This training is mandated by the NYC Department of Buildings for those wishing to work as a competent person or supervisor on construction sites.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the SST62 card, certifying them as qualified to supervise and ensure safety on NYC construction sites. The course fee includes the cost of issuing the SST card, which is valid as per NYC regulations.

Attendance Policy: 

Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities. Make-up time is not permitted for this training course.
